1. Policies & Directives
Capstone Realty & Associates’ Policies and Directives are the basic agreements of our business. The company operates off of HubbardⓇ Management Technology.
Policy - Company Policies describe organizational and administrative rules and agreements.
Directive - Directives outline the company’s operating procedures and are the general instructions on how to do something relating to a specific task or job and combined together will make up the basic procedures or the “Hat” for a specific job or post.
Policy Approval
The Executive Council discusses Policy proposals submitted by staff members or Agents and works towards a unanimous agreement; if unanimous agreement cannot be reached the majority vote shall rule. EC approved policies are forwarded to the COB for final approval and then on to Corporate Affairs for safekeeping of originals and to Department 2 for distribution.
Directive Approval
Directives can be written by any staff member or Agent and sent up the chain of command (via) through their bosses until it reaches the closest EC member for final approval and authorization. It is then forwarded to Corporate Affairs for safekeeping of originals and to Department 2 for distribution.
Revisions
Simply submit the newly revised Directive or Policy, with additions, deletions, and modifications highlighted, as outlined above along with the old item.
Cancellations
From time to time a Company Policy or Directive will become outdated. When this occurs, the Policy or Directive should be submitted as above explaining why the item should be “CANCELED”. Once canceled, the original item is marked “CANCELED” in large red ink at the top of the page and the ite, is removed from circulation by Corporate Affairs.
Acknowledgements
When a reference is used or quoted in a Policy or Directive, the proper acknowledgment should be given. This should be done right under the policy title by using “ref: reference and date of publication.”
Format
See attached format sample general layout that should be used for all Company Policy and Directives.
